Privacy frosting is intended to prevent the view into a premise or space through internal glazing. A popular and often trendy example of office décor, privacy frosting simply is a film of thin, etched or embossed vinyl and applied with a self-adhesive backing or with static cling.

It’s utilisation for health and safety should also not be ignored. Building regulations often determine vinyl designs such as privacy frosting being essential to ensure safety. Referred to as window manifestations, these designs prevent accidents by stopping people (such as the occasional bewildered office worker) walking into glass partitions.
